# Overview

USD payouts to the United States are supported across three domestic rails. Each rail has different availability, settlement speed, and transaction limits — choose based on your use case:

| **Network** | **What it is** |
| ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Fedwire** | The Federal Reserve's RTGS system for high-value, time-critical payments between US financial institutions. The backbone of domestic USD settlement, widely used for corporate treasury, institutional, and B2B transactions. |
| **RTP** | Instant payment rail operated by The Clearing House, enabling real-time, irrevocable credit transfers 24/7/365. The first new core payment rail built in the US in over 40 years, with broad reach across major US banks. |
| **FedNow** | Instant payment rail operated by the Federal Reserve, enabling real-time credit transfers 24/7/365. Launched in July 2023, FedNow provides a federally operated alternative to RTP with broad participation from US financial institutions. |
